When I moved back to NYC two and a half years ago (time flies!), I set out to create a beautiful, welcoming sanctuary that made me feel good to be in, sourced sustainably and using non-toxic materials. The result was a beachy bungalow, Cali-vibe type feel or what you could call ‘pure organic modernism’ – right in the middle of Brooklyn. Small apartment decorating at its finest. I worked with Olivia Stutz and she brought in so many cool details I would not have thought of without her. We also worked with a lot of items I already had on hand (which is the most sustainable and budget friendly thing to do!) but we also brought in a lot of natural and organic elements, like organic cotton, sustainably sourced wood furniture, and vintage rugs.

As I’m writing this post from bed almost 2 years overdue, I wish it was just as pristine as the photos but it’s motivating me to get my butt out of bed and spruce up the pillows. I’m thinking it is due for a little refresh (living room rug #1 is long gone once Otis arrived ha!) and I will post that here soon. Hope you enjoy a glimpse into my cozy 500-square-foot studio!

I’ve included some shoppable links below – a lot is vintage or from smaller shops in Williamsburg (about half of my accessories are from Chango + Co) but DM me @cleanfooddirtycity if you see something you can’t find! xo
