On Sunday, we gathered friends in Brooklyn for our first Sunday Spread at baba cool cafe. We sipped on detox water infused with lemon, cucumber, and ginger mint from the Fort Greene Greenmarket.

Inspired by the first flavors of fall at our local green markets–the first pick of apples have arrived!–we incorporated them into a couple of the dishes for the evening. Our guests munched on spiced pepitas and crispy red kale chips to start, along with sweet potato crisps with a roasted eggplant apple dip. photo 1 (3)

Our super bowls were packed with farmer’s market goodies along with the flavors of summer and early fall.  Forbidden rice, roasted delicata squash, sesame + coconut toasted edamame, a red cabbage slaw with jicama, apples, and cilantro – all drizzled with a miso-ginger dressing.  It was a huge hit!
